Depression can affect nearly every part of your life, including your energy, motivation, relationships, and ability to enjoy the things that once mattered to you. When medication and therapy have not provided enough relief, it may be time to explore another treatment option. At Stepping Points Psychiatry, we offer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy for depression in Las Vegas and Summerlin. TMS is a noninvasive treatment that uses targeted magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain involved in mood regulation. It does not require anesthesia, and patients can typically return to their usual activities after treatment. Our psychiatric providers take time to understand your symptoms, treatment history, and goals before recommending care. Whether you have struggled with depression for years or are exploring TMS for the first time, we are here to help you understand your options. Ready to learn whether TMS may be right for you? What Is TMS Therapy?

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain involved in mood regulation. TMS is an FDA cleared treatment option for certain individuals with major depressive disorder, particularly when antidepressant medications have not provided adequate relief.

Unlike medications that circulate throughout the body, TMS delivers targeted stimulation to specific areas of the brain. Treatment takes place while you are awake, does not require anesthesia, and typically allows you to return to your normal daily activities afterward.

TMS is generally provided through a series of outpatient sessions over several weeks. The number and length of treatments depend on the treatment protocol and your individual needs.

At Stepping Points Psychiatry, serving Las Vegas and Summerlin, our psychiatric providers review your symptoms, medical history, previous treatments, and personal goals to determine whether TMS may be an appropriate option for you.
