Shawn Collier Jr PMHNP-BC
My name is Shawn Collier Jr., and I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My journey in healthcare began as a Certified Nursing Assistant and continued into registered nursing before I became a psychiatric mental health provider. Throughout that journey, one thing has remained constant: my passion for helping people.I have always been fascinated by the human mind—how we process our experiences, adapt to challenges, and develop the strength to move forward. As a mental health provider, my goal is to meet people where they are and help them navigate some of the more difficult chapters of their lives with compassion, understanding, and respect.
My approach to care focuses not only on treating symptoms, but also on helping individuals better understand themselves. Through compassionate care, education, and the development of healthy coping and self-regulation skills, I hope to empower my patients to make meaningful changes that improve their quality of life and help them reach their full potential.Caring for others is also deeply rooted in my family. I come from a long line of nurses, beginning with my great-grandmother and continuing through my grandmother, mother, aunts, sister, and now myself.
Healing, serving the community, and helping those in need are values that I truly take to heart.Mental health is a journey, and everyone’s path looks different. Whether you are facing a difficult season, working toward greater emotional stability, or simply trying to become the best version of yourself, it would be my honor to walk alongside you and help you achieve the goals that matter most to you.
